A little while ago, we reached out and asked you to fill out our “Building Our Community Together” survey. We wanted to get a real, honest picture of what sisters out there truly need to stay grounded in the Sunnah (the traditions, practices, and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) while managing the beautiful, chaotic reality of everyday life.

First of all, a massive, heartfelt thank you to every single sister who took the time to respond. Your honesty, vulnerability, and openness completely moved us.

The results are in, and the message coming through is loud and clear: there is a huge longing out there for structured, authentic Islamic knowledge that goes hand-in-hand with warm, consistent sisterhood. Whether we are meeting right here on our doorsteps in Manchester or connecting across a screen globally, we are all looking for safe spaces to shake off isolation, step away from social media noise, and overcome daily overwhelm.

Here is a quick look at what you told us, and exactly how we are going to make it happen!

What Our Manchester Sisters Want

For the sisters based locally here in Manchester, the desire to gather, talk, and learn together in person is beautiful. When we looked at what you want to see happening locally, the top choices were clear:

• 83.3% of you highly requested In-Person Aqeedah (core Islamic beliefs) & Sunnah Study Circles so we can build structured, authentic knowledge together.
• 66.7% voted for relaxed Sisterhood Socials & Meet-ups to build genuine friendships and welcome sisters who are completely new to the area.
• 33.3% asked for Mother & Toddler Circles, showing a big need for Sunnah-centred play spaces where children are completely welcome and mums can connect without barriers.

What Our Online Community Needs

To support our wider UK and global family, we asked what resources would help you most online. You highlighted a strong preference for flexible spaces that fit into a busy lifestyle:

1. A Safe, Private Forum: This was our most requested digital feature—a secure space on our website where sisters can comfortably ask questions, share reflections, and support one another away from public social media.
2. “Mom-Friendly” Short Classes: Bite-sized, high-impact reminders created especially for busy schedules, homeschooling mums, and those managing health conditions.
3. Core Educational Courses: Structured webinars covering foundational Islamic knowledge and the daily practicalities of reviving the Sunnah in our homes.

Real Talk: The Challenges We Are Facing

Reading through your open-ended answers gave us a deeply moving look into what everyday life is like for modern Muslim women. So many sisters openly shared that they currently feel a real lack of consistent sisterhood, or are struggling to find the time to sit down and study while balancing demanding household routines, homeschooling, and personal health.

Please know this: you are not alone, and we hear you. We know how hard it is to figure out where to start when you are already feeling burnt out. That is exactly why Muslima Guide exists—to create realistic, gentle, and supportive pathways to help you revive your faith without the added overwhelm.

What’s Next? Our Action Plan!

We aren’t letting this data sit on a shelf! We are already using your feedback to shape our immediate next steps:

• Step 1: We are prioritising the launch of our secure, private interactive forum on the website alongside short, accessible reminders that respect your limited time.
• Step 2: We are planning our very first Manchester local initiative, a child-friendly sisterhood coffee morning combined with a foundational circle, so mums face zero barriers to attending.
• Step 3: A brilliant group of sisters have stepped forward to offer their professional skills in writing, graphics, and event coordination. We are onboarding our new volunteers right now to help build Muslima Guide from the inside out!
