How Can We Help Uyghur Muslims?
30 November @ 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
“You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it.”
– Sahih al-Bukhari, 6011
The Chinese government has oppressed Uyghur Muslims for generations: they cannot fast in Ramadan, they are force-fed alcohol, put in re-education camps, the women are sterilised – and they face even more hardships.
All the apparatus of the Chinese state are being used to destroy the Islamic identity of the Muslims of East Turkestan (called Xinjiang – ‘new province’ – by China). It is our duty as Muslims to be aware of what is happening, and what we can do to help them.
Book your place at this free event to learn more about how we can support our Muslim brothers & sisters in East Turkestan.
